JJ Falconer returned for his second season in the Formula Grasstrack Association Championship, securing his first ever win in the opening round of the new season, at the Sparrington Farm venue.
The 2024 Minsterley MCC E-Bike Champion, played second fiddle to newcomer Reggie Goodwin in all six of the prior heats, with Falconer edging closer and closer in each outing.
Fast-starting Goodwin proved unbeatable throughout the day, and the two five-year olds bashed handlebars in heat five in the top bends, thankfully both staying upright to finish the race.
Heat six was the closest of the day, with JJ very nearly clinching the win at the chequered flag.
The final, once again saw Goodwin hit the front from the gate, with JJ not far behind. Bend two saw Falconer hold a wide line, which he continued down the back straight into bend three, where he took the lead for the first time of the day. Once at the front, JJ continued to pull away to the chequered flag to take not only his first race win, but also his maiden final win.
